This past weekend there was a huge Culture Days ev This past weekend there was a huge Culture Days event at the Queen Elizabeth Park Community & Cultural Centre in @townofoakville amd I got to be part of the festivities 🥳As part of a celebration for the installation of my art onto the glass windows next to two entrances to the community centre, I was asked to host a workshop 🎨🖌Naturally I wanted to share my love of watercolour with people, so I decided to teach people the negative painting technique that I used to make my paintings used for the window murals.I wasn't sure how many people would show up but I had a few people waiting for the workshop even before I got to the venue!Despite some struggles and exasperation, I think I was able to impart some negative painting techniques to the participants. If anything, they really got to experience the true nature of being an artist: development through frustration 🤣@culturedays is a national event with cultural activities hosted in cities all across Canada. It is on until October 12th, so check out their website and you might find a fun cultural activity in a neighbourhood close to you!#watercolour #watercolorworkshop #culturedays #ONculturedays #culturedays2025 @ONculturedays #artworkshop #artfacilitation #水彩画 #painting #paintingtechnique #spreadjoy

🩵 take it easySo far this year, 29 pedestrians and 1 cyclist have died on Toronto roads. 154 pedestrians and cyclists have suffered from major injuries from collisions, according to Toronto Police data. These numbers are crazy and it's not even the end of the year.As a former cycling advocate (I'm still a cyclist and a huge supporter!) the @start_streetartoronto
concrete barrier program is so near and dear to my heart. I was SO honoured to be selected as 1 of 110 artists who got to make their mark on bike lane barriers this summer! I poured my soul and all my effort into painting these barriers - I hope it shows 🩵A huge thank you to @alathea.caroline
and Mark McIsaac for bringing me on to this project! And a big thank you to the onsite coordinators for keeping us artists safe, comfortable and motivated with so many encouraging words! @ian.made.it @aotr_murals @sheanemeth @musicalij @wade.benedict#concretebarriers #concretebarriersmurals #cycletrack2025 #bikelanes
