*訳しではない、日本語が英語の後に続きます😅 Late last month, I tagged along with my mom to attend a 'Tenkoku' (篆刻 - てんこく) workshop facilitated by her calligraphy teacher, Maeda Noriko Sensei @norikomaedacalligraphySeeing that Maeda Sensei has a multi-year waitlist for her classes, I feel lucky to have been able to skip the queue and join in carving my own name stamp!In fact this is ny third time carving a tenkoku stamp and this time I really challenged myself and carved an ancient version (with a variation) of the 'hashi' character of my last name!My stamp is just 1cm x 1cm and the most intricate carving I've done yet!I've used my previous stamps for some of my watercolour paintings, so I'm excited to stamp my upcoming paintings with this new tenkoku!Sensei!! Thank you so much for sharing you incredible knowledge, creative ideas and your guidance. Do you use matcha bowls (or matcha-chawan #抹茶ちゃわん ) to make your matcha drink?Here I painted some #cosmiccells onto a #matcha bowl my sister (@lokurostudio) made and bisque fired.

It allows her to share pieces that she's made with me, which I can experiment with!Here, I've painted my #cosmiccells on a #matchachawan (抹茶茶碗)！The usual wood grain that is the revealed from negative painting on my birch panel paintings, is white ceramic on this matcha bowl.Are you a #matchagirlie (or boi)?
